Rocks

We have rocks all over the house, Ian collects every rock he finds. Beverley and Morgen found one of those Smithsonian adventure kits about rocks for him. It had a bunch of rocks dried in a plaster block. From when I got home, and until his bed time, he chiseled for rocks with the most serious of expressions.


Every day since he's ask if we could go dig fossils. There are a lot around here, this area used to be under water. Someone found a whale in one of the nearby mountains. There is supposed to be some good trilobite mining near the Amboy crater I want to hike. We just need to get our butts in gear and make the 3hr drive.

And the weather needs to improve too. Feels like Virginia lately.
